Global citzenship and communication skills

“Many communication skills with global citizenship are required of me in my career” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011). “Where I am employed at I am a member of the women’s diversity group” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011).  “We reach out to other women encouraging them to join the group” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011).  “We print flyers about the diversity group; we hold diversity fair telling other employees about who we are and what we do” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011). “We have reached out to other communities within the United States and outside” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011).  “Sometimes we will make care packages that are sent overseas to poverty-stricken countries” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011). “We organize and unite people by word-of-mouth on the internet, as well as, calling friends and families in our efforts. Besides flyers, word-of-mouth, fairs, and the internet the possibilities are endless” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011). As Hillary Clinton mentioned in her speech at the Barnard College commencement ceremony the tools of the 21st century are radio, TV, blogs, and social networking sites (Clinton, 2009, May 18). “With these tools, I can spread the word about marginalization of women and girls around the world” (COM360, Spriggs, T., 2011).
